02 — Tree Surgery & Arboriculture
Our arboricultural services cover the full range of tree work operations, from routine crown maintenance through to complex dismantles and emergency storm response. All works are carried out by NPTC-qualified operatives with current first aid certification and full RAMS documentation.
We work across all sectors including local authority highway trees, residential gardens, school grounds, commercial estates and development sites. Our team has experience working within Conservation Areas, on trees subject to TPOs, and under ecological watching briefs where protected species may be present.
Every job is assessed individually. We provide clear written quotations with scope, method and programme defined. For larger contracts, we prepare site-specific RAMS and hold pre-start briefings. All arisings are processed on-site or removed to licensed facilities as specified.
For high-volume tree removal on highways, embankments and development corridors, we deploy mechanised arboriculture methods using excavator-mounted tree shears (up to 600mm cut capacity), grapple saws and mulching heads. This approach delivers significantly higher output rates than traditional chainsaw methods, with reduced operative risk through remote operation from the cab. Mechanised arb is particularly effective for ash dieback removal programmes, linear clearance projects and sites with difficult access or steep terrain.
We have extensive experience in ash dieback survey, assessment and removal programmes for highways authorities, local councils and private landowners. Our teams carry out systematic plot-by-plot surveys, categorise trees by condition stage, and deliver planned felling programmes with stump treatment and replanting schemes. We work under ecological watching briefs where required and provide full reporting documentation for asset management records.
We provide tree condition surveys, safety inspections and BS 5837 surveys for development sites. Written reports include individual tree assessments, condition ratings, recommended works and prioritised action plans. Our surveys support planning applications, insurance requirements and proactive tree safety management for estate owners and local authorities.
