03 — Forestry & Biomass
We deliver commercial and amenity forestry operations across Cheshire and the North West, from small woodland thinning programmes to large-scale clear fell and restocking projects. Our crews are chainsaw-qualified to NPTC standards and work to FISA guidelines throughout.
Operations are planned with consideration for ground conditions, access routes, extraction methods and environmental constraints. We coordinate with Forestry Commission requirements for felling licences where applicable, and can support clients with restocking plans and grant applications.
Our forestry fleet includes tracked and wheeled harvesters, forwarders, chippers and timber trailers. All plant is operated by CPCS-ticketed personnel. We process timber and brash on-site where possible, reducing haulage and providing biomass or mulch products for secondary use.
Our integrated biomass processing capability means green waste arising from forestry and arboricultural operations is chipped on-site using industrial chippers handling material up to 450mm diameter. Woodchip is produced to client specification for biomass energy, composting or surface mulch application. We supply to biomass boiler operators, local authority composting facilities, landscaping contractors and equestrian clients.
We support private woodland owners, estates and conservation bodies with woodland management planning, including compartment surveys, species assessment, thinning schedules and long-term objectives. Plans can be prepared to support Forestry Commission felling licence applications and Countryside Stewardship grant claims. We work with landowners to balance commercial timber production with amenity, conservation and biodiversity objectives.
We supply woodchip and biomass products to specification for energy generation, composting, landscaping mulch and equestrian surfaces. All material is sourced from our own forestry and arboricultural operations, providing full traceability. We can deliver in bulk loads or produce on-site to your specification. Chip size, moisture content and species mix are controlled to meet your requirements.
